Abstract

As a manifestation of caring for UNESCO's diversity and cultural diversity in 1999, it has been set for February 21 as Mother Language Day. A total of 6784 languages ​​are still actively spoken by earth's inhabitants, but only 4% of the languages ​​are spoken by 96% of the world's population, whereas 96% of languages ​​are spoken by 4% of the earth's people. UNESCO's concern is not only in the diminishing number of speakers of small languages, but also in the threat of the world from losing the forms of civilization to extinct languages. Therefore, the body of the United Nations which deals with education and culture, encourages the international community to promote diversity and diversity as a representation of social solidarity, justice and peace.
