Effectivness of Honey Trigona for dermatitis dog

Funding period : 2020- Active

Abstrak

The purpose of this study is the utilization of non-food natural ingredients (herbs) as a functional traditional medicine, namely trigona honey in helping to cure skin inflammatory diseases (dermatitis) due to bacterial infections, and cell damage caused by free radicals. Infection of the agent causes damage to the skin, decay of the skin, unpleasant odors, hair loss, and ulcers. It has a psychological impact on animal owners. Topical treatment of complex dermatitis in severe conditions is less efficient, so it is attempted by oral administration with honey from bee Trigona spp. In previous studies, topical herbal medicine was given to dogs with dermatitis and significant results can accelerate dermatitis recovery. In chronic cases it takes longer and is less efficient.

This year's research to see the effect of giving trigona honey in the form of oral drug preparations in patients with chronic dog dermatitis, by observing the macroscopic wound healing process seen from the development of healing lesions on the skin, and microscopic observation of epithelial epithelial growth detected by histological techniques and the formation of agent agents anti-inflammatory, namely by detection of the formation of interleukin 10 (Il-10) by immunohistochemistry
