Abstrak

Disease control in plants using synthetic fungicides can have a negative impact on the environment. Efforts to reduce the negative impacts due to the use of synthetic fungicides need to be done in the context of implementing environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture. The use of biofungicides or vegetable fungicides needs to be done, namely the use of plant extracts that have active compounds that have the potential as antifungal agents. This research was conducted to test the effectiveness of cinnamon leaf extract formula in inhibiting the growth of fungi that cause anthracnose disease in large chili plants in the field. Anthracnose disease in large chilli plants (Capsicum annum) caused by the fungus Colletotricum capsici. Based on this, a series of experiments will be carried out, namely (1) extraction of cinnamon leaves, making a formula of cinnamon leaf extract (2) testing the formula of cinnamon leaf extract against the fungus Colletotricum capsici that causes anthracnose disease in chilli plants in the experimental garden. Overall, this research activity is targeted to produce vegetable pesticides made from cinnamon leaf extract.
