OPTIMIZATION OF THE USE OF BIO-BALITANI LIGNOSELULOLITIC BACTERIA IN LIVESTOCK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Funding period : 2020- Active

Abstrak

The development of competitive and sustainable animal husbandry business through the utilization of lignocellulolytic bacterial biocatalysts from the results of the 2019 innovation research is the main objective of the research carried out. Utilization and development of lignocellulolytic bacterial biocatalyst products "Bio-BaliTani" as a multifunctional product both as a decomposer processing waste into organic fertilizer, inoculants / starter processing feed ingredients from waste into quality feed, as well as biosuplement / additional feed for livestock is a special target to be achieved. . The research was carried out through activities 1) Production and evaluation of the quality of lignocellulolytic bacterial biocatalysts, 2) Formation of demonstration plots at partner locations, 3) Promotion and product socialization, and 4) Commercialization and assessment of partners. The first activity is the production and evaluation of the quality of Bio-BaliTani products carried out at the Research Station of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Bukit Jimbaran as a strengthening of product formulation and product quality so that it is feasible / guaranteed to be disseminated to the public. Evaluation is based on nutrient content, lignocellulase activity, beneficial microbial population and pathogens. The demonstration plot was conducted at the partner location in Banjarangkan Village for processing household waste into animal feed and organic fertilizer, and in Keramas Village, Blahbatuh for the use of Bio-Bali Farmer "as a biosuplement in the goat farming business. Promotional activities and product socialization are carried out in several regions in Bali to start introducing Bio-BaliTani products to prospective customer communities. In this activity also carried out market survey activities to determine the market needs (farmers-breeder communities) of the needs of biocatalyst products that are able to support the optimization of waste utilization and the potential of the Bio-BaliTani market in the market / community. Whereas the commercialization and partner assessment activities are carried out through cooperative assessment activities (business meetings) with several private companies and regional government institutions (Village / Regional Governments) that have the potential to collaborate / utilize our products. Through this research activity, optimizing the utilization of Bio-BaliTani innovation products in developing competitive and sustainable livestock businesses can be realized
