Biosynthesis is a safe and friendly method to synthesize nanoparticle using biological materials such as microorganisms and plants. In this study, it has been synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNP) using a leaf plant extracts of sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Ness), which acts as reducing agents successfully. The synthesis was performed on the ratio of AgNO3 solution with the sambiloto extract solution of 5 ?l: 10 ml. The process of forming silver nanoparticles was studied and monitored by observing the absorption spectrum using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The observations show that the silver nanoparticles formed has absorbance of SPR (surface plasmon resonance) peak at a wavelength of about 423 nm. The absorbance value increases with reaction time from 1/3 - 60 hours.
