Abstrak

Indonesia is a country with megabiodiversity which has many species of plants as sources of biodiesel, one of them is nyamplung. This study aims to determine the morphology, oil content, kinship relationship and biodiesel quality of nyamplung in Denpasar. Oneway ANOVA analysis showed that stem diameter, leaf length and oil content were significantly different (P < 0.05) between locations, while leaf width, dimension of fruit and seed were not significantly different ( P > 0.05). The highest stem rod was 3.65 m in Tuban village 4. Longest leaves was found in Tuban Village with length 14,98 cm, while the shortest leaf was found in Serangan Village with length 11,02 cm. The nyamplung fruit size ranges between 15.00 - 25.33 mm long, 16.67 - 27.67 mm wide, and weighs 3.03 - 6.20 g and seeds of size (length, width and weight) ranges between 12, 67 - 18.33 mm, width 10,67 - 14,00 mm, and weight 2,07 - 3,57 g. The highest content of oil seed nyamplung seed oil in Denpasar is 42,97%. The quality of biodiesel from nyamplung growing in Denpasar includes acid number, iodine number, saponification number, cetane number, moisture content fulfilled SNI 2015 requirement except high viscosity. Analysis of kinship relationship between nyamplung growing in Denpasar is divided into 3 groups with similarity index 0.99%.
