STRES PSIKOLOGIS PADA PASIEN PSORIASIS SUATU KAJIAN PSIKONEUROIMUNOLOGI

Abstrak

Background: Psoriasis is a multifactorial skin diseases, one of the environmental risk factors of the disease is psychological stressor. Up to now it has been no accurate data that reported about relationship of psychological stressor in psoriasis their relationship neuro-endocrine system. Aim: To explore the psychological stress in psoriasis patients and its relation with norepinephrine as neuroendocrine marker in psoriasis. Subject and method: This is a case-control study of psoriasis patients with conection of psychological stressor. The diagnoses of psoriasis was based on clinical features and histopathological finding. To determine the affect of psychological factors (life event) was performed in-deep interview by using HolmesRahe Stress Scale test and examination of cortisol, norepinephrine, and IFN-? serum level. Result: For 6-month study examined 58 samples consisting of 32 patients with psoriasis and 26 subjects without psoriasis as control. A total 12 out of 32 (37,5 %) patients with psoriasis is associated with increased levels of psychological stress. In psoriasis patients were significantly increased norepinephrine compared with non-psoriasis person, and a positive correlation between severity of psoriasis with high levels of norepinephrine. This study indicate that psychological factors play a role in psoriasis patients and positive correlation between severity of psoriasis and norepinephrine level. (MDVI 2012: 39/1;10-14)
