Abstrak
Lambanapu the largest prehistoric burial sites that have the character of a jar burial containers. Other characters from trusted Lambanapu is contained findings as stock tomb jug with a face mask motif in fragmentary form. Related Research jug as stock tomb in Lambanapu is needed because there is a unique character and a sacred value as stock tomb objects that illustrate the religious system supporting community. The importance of considering the jug as stock tomb, it is aimed to obtain attribute data, the influence of pottery culture, and background use of a pitcher as stock tomb findings of the Archaeological Institute of Bali in Lambanapu Site This research is descriptive qualitative and located at the Archaeological Institute of Bali. Data collected in the form of shape, size, decoration, raw material manufacturing technologies, the cultural influence of pottery, as well as the meaning of the jug. The primary data of the jug fragments from the excavation site Lambanapu, while secondary data from literature related to the object of research. Retrieving data using techniques literature study, observation, documentation, and interviews. Comparative analysis to reconstruct a pitcher and compare other attributes and knowing the character of the pottery culture. Contextual analysis to determine the meaning of the jug as stock tomb, because the meaning is the use of background jug as stock tomb. The results showed that the jug as stock tomb in the largest Lambanapu based on the results of reconstruction has the shape of jug jug as the prehistoric period, characterized by a long neck. Lambanapu jug exactly have a shape similar to a pitcher in Melolo with traits necked stacking and there are ornate face mask. Lambanapu jug has two body types (round body and body with the shoulder) as well as two types of neck (neck stacking and long neck). Observations show jug there are two ornamental patterns, ie patterns of ornamental ribbons and decorative patterns with motifs guise anthropomorphic face. The results of observations also showed manufacturing technology jug, jug formation by using simple tools such as hand and face and landing, incomplete combustion, and rub the surface of the finishing process, while the raw materials made of clay with sand mixture. Comparison attributes mainly on the attributes style jug, jug Lambanapu shows the influence from Kalumpang pottery culture, looks at the use of the face mask mena are characteristic of Kalumpang pottery.
