Tebepro is a fermented fruit juice product enriched with probiotics of live Weissella confusa F213 of approximately 107-8 cfu / ml. This product was developed by fermenting tamarillo juice with Weissella confusa F213, which produce a fermented juice with a combination of sour and sweet flavours.
Weissella confusa F213 is beneficial for gastrointestinal tract healthy through modulation of healthy bacteria in the digestive tract contributing to improve health such as improving the blood lipid profile, modulating immune system, preventing constipation and improving the digestive tract. In addition, this probiotic can also provide protection from pathogenic bacterial infections as well as the removal of pathogenic bacteria from GI tract, and can prevent damage due to T. gondii infection. Tamarillo juice contains vitamin C and antioxidants that are very beneficial for health. The fiber content and probiotic activity of Weissella confusa F213 in Tebepro can prevent constipation.
Tebepro is a unique product that use tamarillo as the raw material. Weissella confusa F213 probiotic strain used in this juice is a unique probiotic strain, which can grow well in tamarillo. This strain is isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of healthy infants, and has unique characteristics as the Indonesian human digestive tract mostly consume plant-based food ingredients, instead of milk. This strain is not only able to improve the health of the digestive tract through modulation of the growth of endogenous bacteria in the digestive tract, but also has a strong ability to attach to epithelial cells so that it can survive in the digestive tract for a long time. In addition, the benefits of probiotics are also determined by the ability of strains to adapt in the digestive tract of the host so that strains of foreign probiotics are not necessarily compatible with the conditions of the digestive tract of Indonesian with diets and types of food that are very different with those of foreigners. Based on the health benefits of strains that are specific to each strain, as well as aspects of compatibility between probiotic strains and host digestive tract conditions, it is strongly believed that Tebepro is potential to substitute foreign probiotic products.
