LET’S AWARE OF SPINE SINCE EARLY IN CHILDREN

Growth and development in children is very important and must be maintained from an early age in order to minimize the occurrence of permanent disorders in children. Moreover, problems in the bones, especially the spine which is useful to support the body to remain in an upright position. The spine also functions to protect the nerves and main organs in the body and has a vibration-damaging effect when our body moves such as standing, walking, squatting, sitting and anything. Spinal deformities can occur at various stages of development prenatal, during infancy or in infancy and childhood. This can be caused by incorrect sitting habits, carrying a heavy burden on one shoulder and can occur due to metabolic diseases of the body. There are three types of spinal deformities, it is kiposis, lordosis and scoliosis. Kiposis is a form of upper spine that is bent forward. Kiposis in children can be known early by first looking at the position of the head which tends to be more inclined forward than other body parts, the second is seen from a more advanced shoulder position and third, a higher upper spine difference. Lordosis or Sway Back is a spinal disorder in which the lower spine curves inward in excess. Lordosis in children can be seen early on by first seeing the lower spine curved inward which results in the abdomen appearing protruding forward and the buttocks appear more inclined to the back. Scoliosis in which spinal abnormalities occur curved sideways to form the letter "C" or "S". Scoliosis in children can be seen early on by the first way to check the height of the right and left shoulder that is not aligned, secondly if the child is told to bend there is a visible difference in height on the back, the third in the hip position will look higher to one side and fourth if the child stands looks like it's always tilted to the right or left. Abnormalities of the spine can cause various problems in the growth and development of children, namely the child will have difficulty doing activities, feel pain and prolonged pain, can affect the pattern of walks in children and the most severe cause of the child's posture is disproportionate to adulthood. Subscription can be done as early as possible by doing various exercises or sports routinely and using brace (body support device) that is appropriate and adjusted for spinal abnormalities that occur in children. The importance of spinal awareness early so that treatment is faster so that it is also more likely that children will grow up with normal posture.
