Together with Kedisan Residents Explores the Potential of Natural Resources and Human Resources for a Better Kedisan
Kedisan is one of the villages chosen in the Udayana University (UNUD) Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) Work Period XV 2017. The location of Kedisan Village is located in the north of Ubud, precisely in Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency. UNUD KKN-PPM activities that take place within a period of 5 weeks, namely from 22 July 2017 to 28 August 2017 provide opportunities for students to carry out 24 work programs. All work programs consist of theme main program, non-theme main program, additional main program and supporting program.
In carrying out these programs, students are divided into 4 groups of fields, which consist of the Physical Infrastructure Sector, the Production Improvement Sector, the Socio-Cultural Sector, and the Public Health Sector. Of the four fields, overall the main theme programs implemented during the KKN-PPM period in the Village of Arts and Culture totaled 12 programs, including the provision of trash bins in each Banjar, mutual cooperation with residents of the Village of Kedisan, procurement of village signposts and village office signposts, empowering wooden craftsmen with drying machine repairs, rice plant disease counseling and utilization of animal manure into organic fertilizer, biogas manufacturing, English training at SD Negeri 1 Kedisan, making population applications, eradicating mosquito nests, osteoporosis exercises, free bone examinations, and treatment, as well as a clean and healthy living behavior counseling program.
Complementing the main theme program, there are also non-theme main programs carried out consisting of 3 programs, namely the procurement of banjar board institutions, procurement of organizational structure chart in one Banjar in Kedisan Village, and procurement of Kelian Dinas nameplate of each Banjar in Kedisan Village. In addition to the two programs, there is an additional main program consisting of an empowerment program for wood craftsmen through the creation of an Artshop at the News Shop and a rabies extension program. In addition, also carried out 7 assistance programs in the form of planting Cempaka, Intaran, and Albesya trees, competition activities to commemorate independence day, procurement of books and library clean-up at SDN 3 Kedisan, assisting the handover of Village Apparatus SK, the Head of Regional Implementation, and the Chairperson The Banjar PKK group, a Balinese traditional dance training program for elementary school children, was then supplemented by ngayah activities at the Melanting Pura Banjar Kedisan Kaja and Banjar Kedisan Kelod and ngayah in Pura Bukit Banjar Kedisan Kaja.
These programs are formed and realized during the KKN-PPM period with the aim that students and the community can find, recognize, and be able to increase the potential of natural and human resources that are still hidden in Kedisan Village.
Through increasing the potential of these two resources, it is expected to be able to prosper the people of Kedisan Village, of course, by involving the community in the implementation process. In addition, the goal that is no less important is to create a sense of kinship and strengthen relationships between the community and students and Udayana University.
