Internet of things (IoT) is a system of interconnected computing devices, mechanical and digital machines equipped with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data through networks without requiring human or human interaction to computers.
One obstacle in implementing IOT especially for beginners who are just learning and familiar with IOT is the difficulty in assembling IOT components in the form of sensors and microcontrollers. Errors in assembly can result in changes in the function of these devices and can even cause damage.
To avoid errors in assembly, beginners can try first on the existing IoT simulator to simulate the project to be made. Simulation means imitating circuit behavior. In other words, simulation means analyzing the behavior of a circuit using software without actually implementing it in physical form.
Simulation is very useful to simulate a system before we physically develop the system hardware. With simulation, we can easily find errors in the code or errors in the system circuit so that it can save time and money.
Some IoT simulators currently available even freely can be downloaded and used on the internet. The simulators offer a variety of services related to the IoT project to be worked on.
One of the IOT simulators that can be used to simulate IOT circuit projects is the Tinkercad simulator. This simulator is not only focused on the IoTÂ but can also be used to simulate various projects such as 3-dimensional design, electronic circuit and others.
This simulator has advantages because it is based on cloud applications, so there is no need to install the application on the computer that we use and we can design and simulate IOT projects from anywhere. This simulator can be accessed via the page https://tinkercad.com.
The Tinkercad Simulator provides various features such as storing projects in the cloud, sharing projects with other users, realtime simulations of the projects we are working on. An interesting feature of this simulator is the project group creation feature, so that one simulation project can be done together between users. Besides that Tinkercad also provides a feature to make a simulation project class online so that it allows a teacher to conduct teaching and learning processes related to the simulation of IOT projects with students or students very easily.
