Discussion

The government of Indonesia concerning large scale social restrictions in the framework of accelerating the handling of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has stated that large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) are carried out one of them by dismissing the workplace. But, if people must stayed at home for months, they are not able to earn a living, they do not have any income to finance themselves and their family. Eventually, when it happened in a long period and crisis is before our eyes. So, Indonesia is preparing to enter a new normal era where people can move outside the house in the midst of the Covid-19 corona virus outbreak. New normal situation is the government’s effort to mitigate and workplace readiness as optimal as possible so people can adapt trough changes in their lifestyle. The government is preparing steps to implement new or normal conditions, but only in district/cities that in a green zone not in red zone.

In the new normal era, there are several protocols that we have to apply such as everyone must wear a face mask, hand sanitizer, and also wash their hands with soap as often as they can, the last one is physical distancing where people have to stand 1 meter to others. Now, we can see this new normal has been happening in several public, such as supermarket, in public transporations, and others. Workplaces and social responsibility to be advocated. Posters and videos showing proper hand hygiene techniques and wearing and removing personal protective equipment are clearly visible in the staff area of our divisions and posted on our intranet. If people are sick, thise who are sick are advised to stay at home and avoid social activites. usually when people have to do a meeting or confenrence they have to gather in one place. But right now, they can use online meeting or webinar (colloquium through website). In line with published recommendations, we have institute mandatory temperature reporting using a thermometer released by the hospital. In several restaurant or stores, they provide a small sink so the customers can wash their hand before entering the restaurant or stores.

Conclusion

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we will keep going, we must continue to survive. Hoping that the concepts introduced to us will enable us to control our life. We need to  adapt quickly to the circumstances that occur. This pandemic would lead a world to a new normative state, and we may have to develop new disease control standards so that life can continue with minimal risk.
