The Role of Human Resource Management, hereinafter abbreviated as HRM has changed in line with the emergence of various developments. the rapid progress of science and technology, especially in the field of transportation and communication has reduced the distance between nations. competition is becoming increasingly open and the business environment is increasingly complex. The role of Human Resources (SDM) is greater than ever before is needed. SDM was initially seen as a cost, but right now SDM is an investment that must be in place and an absolute condition for the organization's operations. In the past, workers in the exploration of labor relations occurred between laborers and employers, but now labor is maintained and is an organization's work partner. the increasing role of SDM is an inevitable consequence of various changes that occur. It is not an exaggeration if the SDM Department has the opportunity to become a vital member of the management team at the point where MSDM roles and SDM Department are needed so that SDM departments and functions have a significant role. the changes in the business environment that occur confront the organization with important SDM issues and labor uncertainty. this condition requires the involvement of this manager to control SDM functions. Changes and developments in the business environment require adjustments and changes in the role of MSDM and SDM are required to have a strategic role. the era of personnel management tends to be administrative must change towards a more proactive management era.

MSDM has the obligation to understand changes that are increasingly complex and always occur in the business environment (geographical demographics, environment, type and type of business, and applicable laws and regulations). MSDM is needed in anticipating technological changes and understanding the international dimension that is starting to enter business due to the rapidly developing information and technology era. In order for MSDM  to play its best role, a responsible innovator is needed, always following developments and able to absorb new information to anticipate SDM issues and existing business issues. Like other functional management (Marketing, finance, research production and development ), MSDM is expected to be able to provide a response to all changes that occur.

The main change in MSDM lies in the principle of management work which initially provided more services for other functional units. in the working principle of HRM's proactive role as a Partner for other functional fields in the organization this point shows the active role of MSDM in management planning, and the development of company activities in areas related to the allocation and development of human resources. Changes in the MSDM function result in a change of attention to new things, therefore the HRM function does not stop at attention now but also in the future. The business environment has fundamentally changed the point of change requires a change in role MSDM is more complex and better than before. resources become critical assets of the organization. This means that SDM is not only included in the company's philosophy but also in the strategic planning process

MSDM is demanded to be more proactive and responsive. all activities undertaken must be able to anticipate various developments that occur then take actions to deal with business issues related to SDM. human resource management has changed and the function of specialization that stands alone becomes an integrated function with all other functions in the organization to achieve the targets set point of change in the function and focus of MSDM requires a change in SDM management qualifications in order to keep abreast of developments and provide responses that are corresponding.
