Learning is a process of interaction of students with educators and learning resources in a learning environment, both in schools and on campus. For example learning on campus with the aim to provide assistance to students so that the process of acquisition of knowledge and knowledge, mastery of expertise or skills, and the formation of a good attitude. In the context of achieving the learning objectives are often influenced by internal and external factors.
Internal factors that can achieve these learning objectives include adequate infrastructure, competent and qualified teaching staff and input from students themselves. While external influences, for example, can be in the form of support from parties outside the campus, and external influences that affect the health of students such as covid-19 that is happening at this time.
The impact of covid-19 greatly influences the learning process of lecturers and students, which normally the learning process is carried out face to face directly in the same time and space. With the transmission of Covid-19, this influence can be extraordinary through touch, breathing, and so on, so that the learning process is no longer carried out normally like face to face in the same time and space. Thus, learning is done by distance learning by utilizing information and communication technology.
Utilizing information and communication technology will be able to change the form of learning methods directly to the electronic learning system. Utilization of electronic learning may be able to motivate improvement in the quality of learning and teaching materials, the quality of student activity and independence, as well as communication between lecturers and students and between students. In implementing the form of electronic learning methods, there are many obstacles, both constraints that exist in the self-lecturers and students, such as those in the Diploma III Taxation Study Program at the Faculty of Economics, Udayana University.
Constraints that exist in general both in lecturers and students of electronic learning for example using Cisco Webex media. Constraints that occur include not all lecturers and students mastering learning techniques using ICT (Information Communication Technology), for example using the webex media, not all places are available with internet facilities or there is internet disruption, the capacity of the computer is limited, not all courses (such as practicum courses) are effective, and often also the quota of students who are accessing online learning content is quickly used up so they cannot follow the learning until it is finished. So all of these obstacles interfere with the quality of learning. Aside from these obstacles, this online learning method also provides many benefits.
Some of the benefits of online or online learning that we experience include making it easy for students and lecturers to interact and communicate. Online learning can be done anywhere, although it cannot always be done at any time. This causes students who carry out online learning to do the learning process in places they like while doing other things besides learning, such as eating, listening to music and watching television. Lecturers and students are both challenged and learn to use online media in order to improve the ability of lecturers to utilize technology media with zoom presentations, cisco webex and other media.
Government and public ignorance about when the Covid-19 pandemic will end will result in students and lecturers still having to go online for several semesters. The combination of learning has been done and may be developed further so that more effective learning methods, such as using webex, WA, and holding video conferences. The use of video conferencing so that the teaching and learning process can occur both ways and gives students the flexibility to ask questions, the lecturers truly explain the material they will convey to students through video or video conferencing media and not only provide powerpoints, limit the number of assignments given so that not a burden for students. Thus, even in the co-19 era learning objectives can still be achieved such as improving the quality of graduates, and increasing the relevance of graduates of the Diploma III Program with the needs of industry or the world of work.
