Silly Reclamation of Benoa Bay

The issue of the reclamation of Benoa Bay, which is busy with the public, is indeed reaping the pros and cons. But the government and all levels of Balinese society should hold fast to cultural tourism. Bali is small, it must be regulated in order to create sustainable tourism (economic aspects, socio-cultural aspects and environmental aspects).

The development of Bali tourism seems to lead to complete tourism that is tourism that is made according to and to meet market demand. Though Bali already has the concept of cultural tourism, but it is weak in its application and punishment. Complete tourism seems to make everything possible in Bali's tourism business. There are indications that cultural tourism in Bali is only a slogan. Any tourist attraction and any type of tourism in Bali tourist destinations seem impressed to be realized if it is able to bring tourists and generate economic benefits.

It must not be forgotten and denied that tourism in Bali originates from the uniqueness of people with cultures that are difficult to find elsewhere. If this is forgotten as a historical fact, the development of tourism in Bali can be predicted to occur cultural degradation, crowded social problems and the ecological order that is indicated can shorten the life of a tourist destination.
