Orchid plants have various types including Dendrobium, Vanda, Phalaenopsis, Cattleya and others. The style and color of flowers vary in one type of orchid. Orchid plants have different characters, and have a very charming beauty. Cultivating orchids conventionally in the field (from planting keiki, bulb, etc.) requires a very long time with a limited number of seeds. Propagation of plants by tissue culture provides an alternative solution for the supply of orchid seeds in large quantities and in a relatively short time. In the community houses are generally found many types of orchids, especially for the types of Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium.
Most people buy orchids in bottles from tissue culture to maintain, with the reason that there are more orchid seeds in the bottle at a much lower price compared to juvenile orchids or flowering orchids. For the cultivation of bottled orchids acclimatization period is needed. The acclimatization period is the adjustment period for the growth of orchids from the bottle to the environment outside the bottle, both temperature, humidity and light. To reduce the percentage of mortality of orchid seedlings in bottles, an acclimatization period is needed, so that the percentage of orchid plant life can be further increased. Many of the twists and turns of care that are less controlled by residents of orchid fans, so that many fail (die). Bottle orchids are grown in a laboratory with sufficient nutrients available and controlled environmental conditions. If the plant will be removed from the bottle it should be planted in the form of compote first, to maintain the microclimate around the plant. Media used include: mos, charcoal, coconut shells, ferns which are sterilized by steaming for 1 hour planted in the form of compote, d) placed in the shade for 2 weeks, e) Age 4 weeks can already be planted individually pots. This knowledge about acclimatization can be used to open new business fields in the field of perrrangan business from nurseries to flowering of orchids both individually and in groups.
