"SMART HCI" METHOD INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY PROGRAMMER
CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION
A. Background
The computer is a hardware that is widely used by many people to help ease the work. As a tool requires a variety of programs created by program makers known as Programmers. In programming by a programmer, a high level of intelligence is needed, so that each program created can definitely benefit many people.
Due to the high level of difficulty in making programs and carried out for a long time, it is needed a method that can be used to help alleviate the negative effects due to external factors such as the application of convenient work methods such as workpiece layout, environmental conditions.
To work well, a working method called "SMART HCI" is needed. This method is a method that applies the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) approach to the workplace such as workplace settings, environmental conditions. For workplace settings it is done using a hand reach system. Each work tool is placed at arm's distance when sitting. Environmental conditions such as temperature, light intensity, wind speed are set in comfortable conditions.
B. Problem Formulation
From the explanation in the background, general problem formulation can be made, namely:
How does the "SMART HCI" Method Increase Programmer Productivity?
C. Purpose of the Problem
The objectives of this research are:
Can find the parameters of the "SMART HCI" Method which affects the increase in Programmer Productivity.
CHAPTER II. DISCUSSION
Various studies have been conducted to increase the productivity of programmers in making programs. In this study, the "SMART HCI" method was found which consisted of parameters that had to be met to make the programmer increase his productivity, namely:
1. Workplace arrangements, namely placing work objects within the reach of a hand so that it reduces physical fatigue
2. For work stations that use air conditioners, the temperature is set in the range of 22 to 25 with a standard deviation of 0.10 in degrees Celsius
3. Light intensity at 456 work station with standard deviation of about 5.90 in lux units
4. The wind speed in the work station ranges from 0.13 with a standard deviation of 0.01 in units (m / s)
Tests conducted on research subjects of 8 programmers who previously worked with conventional methods to obtain an average productivity calculated from a predetermined program speed of 212 minutes, while using the "SMART HCI" method obtained the average productivity calculated from the speed of making a program has been determined by 186 minutes. This shows an increase in productivity calculated from a decrease in time by 26 minutes.
CHAPTER III. CLOSING
A. Conclusion
Successful programming by programmers requires codes that can increase their productivity. The "SMART HCI" method can be used to increase its productivity because it has set work stations and comfortable environmental conditions. This is indicated by an increase in average productivity through a reduction in work time of 26 minutes.
