Digital literacy plays important role in the age where information technology and connectivity of devices dominates our modern life. Furthermore, the abundance of information and affordable gadget have made this literacy even more important than before. It is not uncommon to see people texting each other while listening to music from audio-streaming server or watching videos in YouTube using their other devices such as mobile phone, laptop, tablet, or personal computer.

Despite the above high-in-demand literacy, not all people posses these skills. These people include students at PKBM Mentari Fajar, especially those who belong to Paket B and Paket C. Some students can use their mobiles to text or send messages through text-messaging system such as SMS or WhatsApp or but cannot maximize their mobile to search information effectively. Even when they do have these skills, still some find it difficult to just create content on blog sites or upload their videos in YouTube.

Udayana University, as one of the public university in Bali, has responsibility to share its expertise  and to serve the community through community services. A team consists of four lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences delivered workshop on digital literacy at PKBM Mentari Fajar.  The team led by I Wayan Sumarjaya and members (Martin Joni, James Sibarani, and I Gede Arta Wibawa) delivered topics such as using Google's advanced search features; detecting media bias, misinformation, and fact check; and creating and uploading videos in blog. During the workshop the students  were actively participated and the found the workshop to be very useful.

The authors would like to thank Udayana University, in particular LPPM, for the community service grant (number B/100-28/UN14.4.A/PM.01.03/2021).
