Inter-Island Cattle Trade

Based on the marketing area, marketing cattle in Bali can be divided into two, namely local marketing and inter-island trade. Local marketing includes cattle marketing activities to meet local slaughter and industrial slaughter demand. Local slaughtering is slaughtering cattle to meet the direct consumption of the community, while industrial slaughtering is slaughtering cattle to meet industrial needs, such as the canning industry, sausages, beef jerky, meatballs, frozen meat, restaurants / hotels, supermarkets, and so on. The processed products from the industry are not only to meet local demand, but also to meet market demands outside Bali.

Inter-island trade is a marketing activity of beef cattle that are still alive to meet demands from outside Bali. The marketing of beef cattle from Bali outside Bali is carried out by several companies (inter-island traders) who receive quotas from the government.
