There is something interesting about cattle that are raised which are integrated with oil palm plantations in PTPN, Jambi. Cows that are  continously kept in a stable and their feces are allowed to accumulate until they reach knee height. After three months the accumulated feces are then withdrawn and removed, then the feces are returned to the palm tree as fertilizer. The integration of oil palm in PTPN, Jambi is carried out in a pattern of cows kept released in a cage and the feed that is given the main ingredient is palm fronds which is smoothly passed and added with other ingredients such as bran, molasis and so on. Livestock feces that get feed from palm oil fronds that are passed smoothly do not emit a pungent odor (published in Trena News letter, January 8, 2019)
