Notary / PPAT is a public official who has the authority to make a Deed or agreements such
as a sale and purchase agreement, lease agreement, deed of incorporation of a company and others.
However, sometimes because of its authority, it is often misused by parties / clients dealing with
Notary / PPAT. And sometimes the Notary / PPAT is not spared from efforts to facilitate matters
with his clients so that it can lead to falling into criminal cases.
To call a Notary / PPAT, a legal umbrella has been provided, namely through the Notary
Position Act No. 2 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Act Number 30 of 2004 and Minister of Law
and Human Rights Regulation Number 7 of 2016. And the problems that are often Notary / PPAT
are called by parties law enforcement by the Police, prosecutors, courts and from the Financial
Services Authority is a matter of involvement or allegations of fraud, embezzlement, falsification of
letters / documents, money laundering, and others.
