Today's technological advances make many disputes in the field of music or song very much. One of them is a dispute about another party who sings or duplicates a song without permission from the original creator or singer. In this scientific paper will discuss how the legal protection for the original singer as the rights holder if the song is sung without permission and how to settle disputes for violations of rights in the context of songs sung without permission. In completing this scientific work, the author uses normative legal research methods. Legal protection for songwriters as right-holders if the song is sung without permission can be seen in Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright in Article 40
