The death of traditional library services can be debated, moreover, during the Copid-19 pandemic, some library activities were carried out online. Traditional library services began to be abandoned along with disruption in the library. This disruption has an impact on various aspects of life, such as media, transportation, education, shops, and libraries. With this disruption, we are finally familiar with terms such as online taxi, online media, online learning, e-commerce, and digital libraries. Library disruption is a change in the library caused by the industrial revolution 4.0, where the internet of things (IoT) and digitalization are the basis of these changes. The disruption caused the transformation of traditional libraries into modern libraries, ranging from conventional, electronic, digital, and library 4.0 libraries.

Disruption occurs in various aspects of the library such as aspects of library activities, collections, librarians, users, facilities and infrastructure, networks, and library collaboration. The disruption of library activities includes processing, service, procurement, stock taking, and library administration. All of these activities use a library information system that can be accessed online by users. Meanwhile, disruption also causes library collections to become electronic, such as electronic books, electronic journals, and so on.

Disruption affects aspects of human resources both librarians, library staff, and users. Nowadays, librarians are demanded to improve their competence in the field of technology considering that the characteristics of their users have changed. Users more use technology in accessing information, because the technology provides convenience and comfort for its users. Culture of access to information has begun to change. In the past, users came directly to the library to search information they needed, but now, they prefer to use the system in the search. This phenomenon requires librarians to change and be able to adapt to the users. If it is not done, surely, librarians will be marginalized along with the explosion of global information in the midst of society. Librarians must have creativity and innovation that can contribute or add value to the visitors. Therefore, some strategies that must be carried out by the librarian so that the librarian is not abandoned are:

Never stop innovating and make new breakthroughs for user satisfaction ยท

Don't run away from technology, strengthen technology skills, and use the technology for maximum library services

Do not be easily satisfied with what have been done

Create a harmonious relationship with users (user oriented) even though virtually

From the description above, it can be said that "the death of traditional library services " needs to be anticipated by all actors and observers of the library so that library sustainability is guaranteed, given that library disruption must occur along with changes in various aspects of life. Besides that, librarians must continue to do creativity and innovation so that users are not left behind. Librarians must improve their knowledge and skills in information technology. The sustainability of a library is very much determined by the librarian, given that the librarian is the soul of the library.
