DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CLOUD-BASED POPULATION SYSTEM TO MAKE SMART CITY IN GIANYAR DISTRICT

Abstrak

Gianyar Regency with an increase in income in the tourism sector, has attracted migrants, both from other areas in Bali and from outside Bali, to find work. This makes the Gianyar Regency more densely populated, because settlements are not only in the City of Gianyar, but also in a number of districts and villages. Population data collection by the government needs to be done in more detail and systematically, so that it can help the government (through the Department of Population and Civil Registry) and also the community, in realizing government programs. One of them is realizing Smart City in Gianyar Regency utilizing information technology. This research presents a proposal for the design and implementation of a population system based on Cloud Computing, to provide more secure and reliable computing capabilities and service provision. The data collection method was carried out using field studies and interviews, supplemented by literature studies. The testing method is done on the user side utilizing User Accepted Testing (UAT) of the prototype application that was developed. The research methodology used for each step of the study, using Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM).
