The Effect of Whatsapp-Based Education Media on Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behavior of Tourists Regarding Management of Toxic Animal Bites

Abstrak
Tourism is a form of travel that is organized from one place to another, within a certain period. One of the favorite tourism destinations in Indonesia is Bali. One of the favorite tourist destinations in Bali is a coastal area that offers a variety of beautiful marine tourism. Behind the various kinds of beauty, there are dangerous health threats for tourists, both domestic and foreign, such as the threat of attacks / bites of animals around the beach area. This study aims to determine the effect of Whatsapp-based educational media on the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of tour operators regarding the management of poisonous animal bites. This research will be conducted on Sanur Beach and Sunrise Beach. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The research respondents are tourism service actors, which will be divided into 19 experimental groups and 19 control groups. The experimental group will be given an intervention in the form of education using whatsapp, as much as 2 times a week, for 8 weeks. Data collection using knowledge questionnaires, attitude questionnaires, and behavioral observation sheets. Data will be analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, and displayed in the form of a table of frequency distribution and central tendency. Bivariate analysis using paired T-Test and unpaired T-Test.
