The Influence of The Penta-Helix Role on Community Welfare at Alas Kedaton Tourism Attraction, Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency

Tourism is a leading sector that is able to make a significant contribution to regional economic growth in Bali Province, including in Tabanan Regency. In the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Bali Tourism experienced a drastic contraction. The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on all industries, including the tourism industry. In the era of new normalcy, many tourist destinations in Bali were quickly able to recover but not the tourist destinations in Alas Kedaton. The Alas Kedaton Tourism Attraction Area, which is included in the ‘golden triangle’ area, is still unable to recover as before, which will have an impact on community welfare. This study aims to determine the effect of the role of penta-helix elements on community welfare in Alas Kedaton Tourism Attraction. It can be concluded that the research model provides a decent Godness of Fit. The results of the study also found a significant influence between the variables of the influence of the role of government, the role of the private sector, the role of the community, the role of academics, and the role of the media on tourism development performance, then found there was a significant influence between the variables of the influence of the role of government, the role of the private sector, the role of the community, the role of academics, the role of the media, and tourism development performance on community welfare, the next finding found there was an indirect and significant influence of the research variables on community welfare. Thus, it is important for internal stakeholders to pay attention and develop penta-helix collaboration as an effort to accelerate the recovery of Alas Kedaton Tourism Attraction in order to realise community welfare.
