Analysis of Local Spatial Data Infrastructure to Support Tourism Village Development in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia

Abstrak

Tourism in Badung Regency is very famous, where nature tourism synergizes with culture-based tourism. The development of tourism in Badung Regency tends to have an impression of similarity between tourist attractions with one another. Therefore it is necessary to make a breakthrough to develop alternative tourist attractions, one of which is developing a tourism village. This research aim to analyses a Local Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) to support development of tourist village in Badung Regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. The whole input, processes and output flows in supporting tourist village development were examined. Web-GIS based Tourism Portal was built in order to provide spatial references for tourist, local community, tourism associations and government related to the infrastructures and attractions at the tourist village. The results showed that a local SDI can facilitate effective to distribute information and improve the marketing value of the tourist village in Badung Regency.
