Bali as an Educational Tourism for Child Tourists during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstrak
Bali has a lot of tourism potential and natural beauty which is greatly admired by tourists. The Balinese are also known to have a friendly attitude towards visiting tourists. However, Bali tourism has experienced a tourism pause throughout 2020 due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus which has caused flights to Bali to be closed. During this tourism pause, Bali only relies on local and domestic tourists to maintain its tourism existence. However, most tourist destinations have closed tourist attractions to prevent the spread of the virus. The tourism pause period was followed by the holding of large-scale social restrictions throughout the world and major cities in Indonesia. Therefore, the world community must refrain from traveling. Schools were closed from mid-March 2020 to the end of 2020. So that children go to school from home which requires them to do a large amount of homework. However, over time and the development of the COVID-19 virus, tourism began to open, especially Bali for local and domestic tourists. The purpose of this study is to identify educational tourism in Bali for child tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic. Educational tourism identification is expected to be able to: 1) provide knowledge about educational tourism destinations in Bali; 2) increasing safety and comfort for child tourists; 3) development of educational tourism. Data collected by observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, literature study and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative and SWOT. The results of the identification of educational tourism are expected to be able to provide new knowledge in traveling, educational tourism activities can stimulate interest and creativity in children, increase children's motivation in the middle of school boredom from home, increase respect and care for visited tourist destinations such as natural tourism by protecting the environment and forming closeness between families.
