Public Perception of the Development of Bongan Village as a Tourism Village in Tabanan Regency

Abstrak
Judging from the geographical conditions of the area, Bongan Village is mostly a stretch of lowland with an altitude between 155-260 m above sea level, the temperature ranges from 28 - 32 degrees Celsius with an average rainfall of 2,000 - 3,000 mm / year. Most of the residents of Bongan Village are still living as farmers. Bongan village has various uniqueness that can be used as a tourist attraction, both natural, cultural, culinary, and spiritual. Some of the uniqueness or attractiveness of Bongan Village, namely: 1) Ngaben Tikus ceremony, where this ceremony has been carried out from generation to generation since the time of the ancient Tabanan Kingdom. This special ceremony starts from the area of Pura Puseh, Desa Adat Bedha; 2) Bongan Village also has the potential to be a tourist attraction for Bali Starling. This is supported by the breeding of the Bali Starling; 3) Pura Balang Tamak, associated with the story character Pan Balang Tamak. According to the leader of Pura Balang Tamak, Jro Mangku I Gede Putu Subawa, that Balang Tamak as the name of this temple has the meaning "Balang" which comes from the word Bala which means strength, while "Tamak" has the main meaning, so "Balang Tamak" has the meaning the main strength; and 4) Mesuryak tradition is a unique tradition that is still being carried out from generation to generation in Bongan Village. This ceremony is held to coincide on Kuningan Day (10 days after Galungan) every 6 months, with the aim of giving offerings or provisions to the ancestors who descend on Galungan Day and return to Nirvana on Kuningan Day. Before this procession began, the community prayed at the Family Temple and at the Kahyangan Tiga Temple in the local Traditional Village. The mesuryak (cheering) tradition is a unique tradition and culture, in which they shout, rejoice, the atmosphere is cheerful, so that intimacy between residents is radiated. This tradition is the center of tourist attention. With these various uniqueness, Bongan Village has the opportunity to be developed as a Tourism Village in Tabanan Regency. The potential of this tourist attraction, which becomes the capital of Bongan Village, can be developed into a tourist village, where the various potentials of Bongan Village require packaging, management, creativity and innovation from the Bongan Village community itself. The tourist attraction of Bongan Village certainly requires several development and management concepts that will be able to hold tourist visits for longer staying in Bongan Village. In addition to providing a variety of products and tourist attractions by packaging them into attractive and attractive tour packages, there is also a need for opinions or perceptions of the people of Bongan Village regarding the development of Bongan Village as a tourist village in Tabanan Regency, so that in planning the development of Bongan Village as a tourist village, it will receive support. from the community and involve the people of Bongan Village in its development and management, so that the goals of increasing community income, preserving nature, opening up local employment opportunities, and reducing unemployment can be realized. A qualitative approach with a combination of Focus Group Discussion (FGD), SWOT Matrix, and Likert Scale Analysis will find various opinions or perceptions of the Bongan community regarding the development of Bongan Village as a tourist village in Tabanan Regency. The results of the data analysis will be displayed in a qualitative descriptive manner which presents people's opinions / perceptions, the results of observations, theories, and concepts found in the field based on the informants' point of view which are then interpreted by the Research Team.
