Abstrak
Villages in Bali actually still have many variants
of local wisdom regarding the structuring of the built environment, especially
in the development of traditional Balinese architecture, Bayung Gede Village
seems to have a specificity that distinguishes it from the spatial patterns of
other traditional villages in Bali.
Bayung Gede Village is one of the mountain villages
in Kintamani sub-district, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. From the perspective
of tourism it is indeed not as popular as the surrounding villages such as
Trunyan, Penelokan, Batur or Penglipuran. But in the history of history is
called as one of the ancient villages, the same age as the Trunyan village,
Penglipuran. Its existence is related to the existence of the Bali Aga (Bali
Asli) community.
In its development, many socio-cultural and
religious acculturations occur which have implications for the pattern of
spatial settlements and residential buildings. Even to the point of radical
change, especially in the patterns of residential building arrangements, solely
for the sake of contemporary demands. Through observations, literature studies
plus research references that have been and have been carried out, will be
decomposed regarding the patterns of environmental management and traditional residential
buildings Bayung Gede Village, is intended as an effort to inventory and
document variations in the patterns of traditional Balinese villages. Then the
values of local wisdom / local wisdom are deemed necessary to preserve.
From the search, it was found that there are
variants of traditional settlement environment patterns in Bali that are
different from the general one, both conceptually and physically. And it is
considered necessary to preserve the values of local wisdom, as part of the activities
of forming the character / identity of the community and its built environment
