The purpose of this study is to get an answer about the condition of the life safety system against fire hazards in lodging facilities in the village of Ubud. The method used in this research is to conduct a field study of lodging buildings in the tourist area of Ubud Village with a random sampling stratification method, where lodging is categorized first in the level of the hotel class, then selected in random from the existing population. Interviews were conducted with owners and related institutions to explore the protection efforts that have been made so far. Analysis to determine the condition of life safety systems against fire hazards begins with an evaluation of the design and equipment aspects associated with protection against fire hazards. This evaluation is done through an assessment with a scoring system from NFPA.

With the identification of the design aspect conditions associated with fire hazards in this lodging building, it will be known the condition of life safety systems against fire hazards at this facility. furthermore, it can be used as a reference / model in carrying out fire protection in buildings in the future so that it can increase the sense of security for tourists vacationing in Ubud. Furthermore this will make promotion for tourism in Bali in general and for Ubud in particular.
