Development of Environmentally Friendly Brake Pads
Funding period : 2020- Active
Abstrak
This research is an innovation of brake lining material using natural stone waste and green shell waste through the hybridization process, so we call this material a natural hybrid composite. The purpose of this study is to obtain new brake pads material with static and dynamic characteristics that meet the eligibility standards. This research activity was carried out by applying the literature review method and experimental stages to test the characteristics of the material based on the quasi static and quasi dynamic loads methods and determine the optimal composition of the natural hybrid composite material. Tests carried out are test wear / wear rate, hardness test, fluid absorption, heat absorption and distribution, as well as toughness to operating behavior.
