utilities, but architecture is often seen as form and space and not much is
seen from the perspective of building strength (firmity). Tectonics in
architecture is a field of science that discusses the aesthetics of building
construction systems or is referred to as "art of joining material".
In this context the building construction system is not only seen in strength
and rigidity, but is also able to provide certain aesthetics and
characteristics to the building. Tectonics in vernacular buildings in addition
to building strength also have symbolic values / meanings that are
articulated through certain shapes in buildings or parts of buildings
Vernacular architecture
is architecture developed by certain groups of people in accordance with
environmental conditions and the availability of natural resources that exist
around their settlements. Bali Aga architecture is one of the vernacular
architecture that belongs to the Balinese people. The architecture of Bali Aga
is architecture that developed during ancient Bali, and is an architecture that
has unique characteristics. Knowledge about buildings in the Bali Aga community
is still stored in artifacts and has not been much explored or developed so
that it becomes a universal science and can be developed into one of the
architectural identities in Bali. understand the symbolic value contained
