Abstrak
Udayana University has a various research scheme and PUU is
one of the schemes which is designed based on the Udayana University Chancellor
program of the various available schemes. The scientific typeis ‘culture’ which
has become an important thing that is listed in the Basic Scientific Pattern
(PIP) of Udayana University (UNUD) since 2009. Therefore, culture is the most
important theme in conducting the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities, so
that all activities included in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education should base
on culture. Pedawa Village is one of Bali Aga villages or often referred to as
an old village in Banjar district, and has been established to be developed as
a tourist village based on the decision of the head of Buleleng regency No.51
2017. Pedawa Village has a unique cultural heritage. The traditional houses, village
spatial planning with unique settlement patterns are one of the values of cultural
heritages that are still maintained until today. This is one of the potencies
of Pedawa village that should preserved. A design concept that optimizes local
culture as a foundation for tourism development and at the same time conserves
local wisdom is needed for the development for Pedawa. Therefore, this study
aims to design concepts and detailed spatial and building that will be able to
guide the development in the Pedawa village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency
in the future as a new tourism village based on local culture. Case study
method applied for this research which involves interview and field observation
survey. A qualitative analysis is
carried out to obtain appropriate design criteria and concepts for spatial and
building concept as a development direction based on sustainable development concept
and conserve local culture and historical heritage. This research will produce
outcomes including: publication in national and international journals; produce
design work that will be patented; textbooks; dissemination at National and
International forums. TKT 6 is the target of the research to be achieved.
