Ground water is important for plants, especially for fulfilling transpiration in the process of assimilation of carbohydrate formation and carrying photosynthetic results throughout the plant tissue. Measurement of water content and soil pH is generally carried out in the Laboratory. The development of technology that is increasingly measuring measurement tools can be done using the method of soil resistance, but to take measurements and record must be done on location. In this research, we will make a measurement tool for soil moisture and pH using a method of soil resistance based on IOT (Internet of Thing). Measurement data can be stored in microSD memory and can be accessed at any time from a distance. Measurement of groundwater content using a soil moisture sensor and copper board electrode PCB board. Two copper plates as sensor electrodes are plugged into the ground. The sensor is in a voltage divider circuit with a 3 V. power supply. Ground water between two electrodes is an electrolyte solution in the ground and acts as a variable resistor following changes in groundwater content. Soil pH measurement uses a longitudinal tube-shaped soil pH measurement probe. The soil pH sensor probe is a tool that converts analog quantities, ie the pH values of the soil itself, into electrical signal quantities so that they can be processed by Arduino and the Android operating system. The sensor is able to detect ground water content between 18.62% (0.359 V) to 48.37% (2,474 V). Sensor characteristics show a linear relationship between the sensor output voltage (Vo) and the percentage of groundwater content (X), which is Vo = -0.060 X + 3.413 volts. Because the maximum voltage of the sensor is 2.474 V, signal conditioners can be made to produce a voltage of 0 V - 2.5 V to be converted by the ADC into a digital signal. This range was chosen so that the ADC resolution is better at 9.8. Making measurement tools for water content and soil pH can help researchers, especially in agriculture effectively Keywords: Soil moisture content, Soil pH and the Internet of Things (IOT)
