Funding period : 2021- Active

Abstrak

Exact research and data on body morphometrics and the Bali pig's head index will provide a clear and precise picture if abnormalities occur in the animal's phenotypic. Appropriate information and data on morphometrics of the body and head index with the principal component analysis approach is very important and useful to support the identification of Bali pigs as germplasm in Bali and also to support preclinical and clinical research further so that this research becomes important to do. This study aims to determine the main components of body morphometry and the Bali pig's head index. Samples were taken from 30 male and female adult Bali pigs that were declared healthy. Samples were then taken morphometric measurements in the form of body length, height, chest width, chest circumference, hip height, hip width, head length and head width. Statistical analysis was carried out in the form of descriptive analysis, sample normality test and homogeneity test for the data collected. To find out the morphometric comparisons between males and females were analyzed by Independent T-test and then analyzed by PCA (principal component analysis).
