Funding period : 2024- Active
Abstrak
For a number of indigenous/local communities, the existence of a cultural context in water resource management and community welfare, linking the transmission of traditional knowledge, cultural values, efficiency and water governance has important value in order to maintain the sustainability and survival of their culture. This transdisciplinary study then needs to be explored as a way to form a new perspective in utilizing intangible cultural heritage related to water resource management owned by local communities. To explore the conceptual framework, this study will use the concept of Cultural Ecology which is related to traditional knowledge for water resource governance. This study will look at how the relationship between humans and the environment is also the focus of the discussion of the Cultural Ecology concept, which will be explained through the sustainability of the governance process by traditional villages which is then manifested in the management of water resources, especially patirthan. On the other hand, cultural resilience refers to how traditional knowledge is dynamically intertwined with the use of water resources for community welfare.
