Student cooperatives (Kopma) are a type of cooperative in Indonesia which consists of students. Empirical data shows that student participation to become Kopma members is still very low. This study aims to explain; the effect of economic benefits on student cooperative interests, the effect of non-economic benefits on student cooperative interests, the effect of perceptions on student cooperative interests, the role of perceptions mediating the effect of economic benefits, and non-economic benefits on student cooperative interests The study was conducted on students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, with a sample size of 175 people, analyzed by using Part Analysis. The research results found that significant economic benefits determine perceptions and interest in cooperating. Significant non-economic benefits to perception and interest in cooperating. Another result found that perception also determines the interest in cooperating, and perceptions play a significant role in partially mediating the effect of economic and non-economic benefits on the interest in cooperating. These results indicate that students' expectations of economic and non-economic benefits on Kopma are quite large. These variables can be relied on to build positive perceptions and attract students to become members of Kopma. The implication is, Kopma must be able to develop innovations that can be perceived positively according to student expectations. This can boost Kopma's performance by increasing the number of participation to become members.
