Funding period : 2017- Deactivate
Abstrak
In developing tourism villages as an alternative form of tourism, tourists are expected not only to visit but also to stay and engage directly with local culture. Accommodation services therefore become crucial, including in Penglipuran Tourism Village, Bangli. This study investigates tourists’ perceptions and expectations of local accommodation services to inform service improvements and encourage longer stays. Data were collected through literature review, secondary data from local managers, and primary surveys of tourists staying in guesthouses and homestays. Likert Scale and Importance–Performance Analysis were employed.
Findings show that tourists expressed 100% satisfaction with accommodation services, yet expectations were not fully met, indicating areas for improvement. This study contributes by highlighting the paradox of high satisfaction alongside unmet expectations, offering novel insights into how tourism villages can refine accommodation services to strengthen cultural engagement and visitor retention.
