VISITING INTENTIONS OF FOREIGN TOURISTS TO NUSA PENIDA ISLAND IN THE ERA OF NEW HABIT ADAPTATION
Funding period : 2020- Active
Abstrak
Nusa Penida is a coastal ecotourism that prioritises the conservation of natural resources in Klungkung Regency, Bali Indonesia. Although tourist visits decreased during the Covid 19 pandemic, it did not prevent tourism actors from continuing to develop ecotourism and continue to conserve marine and coastal resources. The purpose of this study is to analyse tourist visit intentions related to destination attributes, risk perceptions and trust as part of ecotourism development and from the perspective of tourists and destination management. The research uses a quantitative model with a survey of 100 foreign tourists who have visited Nusa Penida. Data were analysed with Partial Least Square (PLS). Using the model of tourists' revisit intention, it was found that tourism attributes and trust have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention. Perceived risk has a positive and insignificant effect on trust and revisit intentions. It was found that trust has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between attributes, and risk perception with visit intention. The development of Nusa Penida coastal ecotourism can be supported by increasing visiting intentions or economic and ecological incentives as a motive to maintain the sustainability of Nusa Penida ecotourism conservation. These findings extend the theory of consumer behaviour/TPB, by adding destination attributes, and perceived risk, in addition to trust to predict tourist intention.
