Abstrak

Tourism in the Nusa Penida Region since 2017 has begun to increase visits very significantly. The increase reached 10.23% from the previous year with an average of 19.11%. With this significant tourist growth, it provides opportunities for the economic growth of the community with various accommodation and transportation businesses. The community has become independent. Reverse the fate with various efforts that are built. With geographical limitations and limited accessibility, the people of Nusa Penida must struggle in raising families. Tourism will be reviewed on a macro scale which will have a positive impact on people's welfare and investment, but not many will make an assessment of the community on improving tourism innovation. In the current digitalization era, people who have limited knowledge in tourism and education are required to compete in the era of digital tourism. Nusa Penida received because of the many approvals from electronic media. The question is how to increase community participation in efforts to improve the quality of tourism destinations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the community in Tourism Development in the Nusa Penida Region.

 This study uses several basic theories, namely the theory of innovation improvement from Schumpeter (1972), participation theory, community-based tourism theory (Perkins and Zimmerman, 1995). This study is a descriptive study by conducting interviews and surveys to local people who are tourism entrepreneurs. The sample members are determined by a purposive group of people who have businesses in seven villages in the Nusa Penida area. Data were collected in a cross section using a statistically analyzed questionnaire and equipped with data triangulation.
