Funding period : 2020- Active
Abstrak
Tourism in the Nusa Penida area since 2017 has experienced a very significant increase in visits. The increase reached 10.23% from the previous year with an average of 19.11%. Tourism development is a source of income in tourist destination areas and it is a positive impact on the surrounding community. This study uses several basic theories, participation theory, and community-based tourism theory (Perkins and Zimmerman, 1995). The results of the study found that the dominant community innovated non-productive land use as tourism objects and attractions, diversified livelihoods, joint ventures, conserved natural and cultural resources, and innovated in promoting tourism potential. The level of community participation at the Tokenism level is the level at which communication occurs between the government and the community. The community has voluntarily participated in various businesses and manpower, only needing infrastructure and capital support. Tourists' perceptions of community participation in Nusa Penida tourism development innovation have a good perception and are classified as high participation. This can be seen from the participation in transportation, accommodation and service provision that has been done well by the lokal community.
