STUDY OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STAGES IN THE TULAMBEN - AMED TOURISM AREA WITH THE CONCEPT OF TOURISMMORPHOSIS

Funding period : 2024- Active

Abstrak

The development of tourism in the Tulamben-Amed area has made this region advanced and developed from an environmental, social, and economic perspective. The offering of coastal and marine-based tourism activities has led to the growth of a number of supporting tourism facilities in this area. The government has anticipated this rapid tourism growth by developing the Tulamben-Amed Regional Tourism Development Plan. In this context, tourism planning products are more focused on destination planning, industry planning, marketing planning, and institutional planning.

Research on the Stages of Tourism Development using the Turismemorfosis approach is expected to provide a different perspective on the stages of tourism development in this region. By understanding each stage that has been passed, we can formulate the shortcomings of each stage and what efforts must be made to anticipate negative impacts in the next stage. The identification process involves not only identifying and mining past data/information, but also the planning and policy-making process for the future. Data aspects to be reviewed include the development of tourism activities, the development of tourism facilities, the involvement of tourism stakeholders, conflicts that have occurred, and how to handle/manage the obstacles encountered in each conflict.
