Canggu is a village adjacent to Kuta as the center of tourism in Bali and also the core of the Sarbagita metropolitan area. According to Sunarta et al. (2018), Canggu Village is a Kuta's peripheral area and has been massively undergoing land-use change, from agricultural into tourism products. Alteration towards a new industrial areas and likewise settlements indicate Canggu experienced a process of suburbanization.

This research aims to formulate guidelines for the development of tourism products (attractions, amenities, and accessibility) based on local communities in Canggu as a suburban area. The existence of this guidance is vital to ensure sustainable tourism development, particularly in rural areas that have transformed into suburban areas.
