Funding period : 2018- Deactivate
Abstrak
Based
on the existing conditions, this study aims to analyze the level, source, and
mitigation of rice production risk in subak
sadap tiris and farmers' perceptions of rice production risk. The
analytical tool used in measuring the level of risk faced by rice is
coefficient variation, whereas to identify the source and risk mitigation as
well as farmers' perceptions of rice production is carried out in a descriptive
qualitative manner. The research location was chosen intentionally, namely
Subak Temaga in DI Kedewatan, Bali Province as one of the subak sadap tiris.
This
research uses survey method. The data used are secondary data and primary data.
Respondents were taken by simple random sampling, namely rice farmers. The
informants used were pekaseh, PPL, and academics.
Based
on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that (1) The source of risk
in rice production is leakage of irrigation channels in tertiary and quarterly
channels caused by crabs; pests and plant diseases; land processing delays due
to lack of tractor operators; and irrigation water pollution by garbage, (2)
the level of risk of rice production in Subak Temaga is relatively low as
indicated by the coefficient of variation of 0.16, (3) farmers' perceptions of
rice production risk is 20% of farmers view production risk as an event that
tends to harm and 80% of farmers believe that production risk is the
consequence of farmers to mitigate production risk. Farmers' perception of the
causes of rice production risk is very good as much as 93.33% and as good as
6.67%.
