Abstrak
This study was conducted to identify cropping indexes and cropping patterns in the tapping subak tapping and non-tapping tapak subak in the Kedewatan Irrigation Area, Bali. Subak tapping tiris, is a subak that receives irrigation water from the upstream subak, while subak is not tapping tiris, is a subak that receives irrigation water directly from a weir. The research location was chosen purposively, namely Subak Mambal (subak not tapping tiris) and Subak Temaga (subak tapping tiris). Data were collected through interviews using a structured questionnaire of 30 farmers in each subak chosen at random and focus group discussions with the pekaseh and the heads of munduk in the period June to August 2018. Planting indexes and cropping patterns were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that one of the factors that influenced the cropping index was irrigation water discharge instead of irrigation water source. The cropping index in Subak Temaga is 250 with a rice-rice planting pattern, while the cropping index in the Subak Mambal is 200-300 with a more varied cropping pattern, ie 66.67% rice-rice planting patterns; 16.67% of the rice-paddy-corn cropping pattern; 16.66% diversified cropping patterns (rice + flowers / vegetables / corn).
