Farmers' Perception of the Risks of Rice Production In Subak Temaga, Bali Province

Abstrak
This research was conducted to analyze farmers' perceptions of risk and the causes of risk of lowland rice production. The research location was chosen purposively by Subak Temaga. Data were collected through personal interviews using a structured questionnaire of 30 randomly selected farmers and focus group discussions with subak leaders and farmer group leaders in the period June to August 2018. Farmers 'perceptions of production risk are measured through 3 statements and farmers' perceptions of the causes of risk production is measured through 13 statements following a five-point Likert scale and using Excel software. The analysis shows that as many as 20% of farmers view production risk as an event that tends to be detrimental and 80% of farmers think that production risk is the consequence of farmers to mitigate production risk, then the farmers' perception of the causes of rice production risk is 93.33% very good and 6 67% good.
