SUMMARY

The need for food is increasing along with the increasing population. On the other hand, the rampant conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land is currently increasing, resulting in a reduced number of paddy fields. The existence of this problem the Denpasar City government made a regulation on sustainable food agricultural land (LP2B), so that the function of agricultural land would not occur. The purpose of this study is (1) to analyze the carrying capacity of agricultural land, (2) Establish and develop criteria for sustainable food agriculture, (3) Spatial analysis of sustainable food agriculture based on remote sensing (RS) and geographic information systems (GIS).
The method used in this study is a survey method and interviews with Pekaseh, Agricultural Extension, landowners, soil analysis conducted in the laboratory, spatial analysis for the determination of sustainable food agriculture (LP2B) based on remote sensing and spatial information systems. The expected outcome of this research is to analyze the carrying capacity of the land, so that it is known whether Denpasar City can carry out food self-sufficiency or not. Next set the parameters supporting the mapping of sustainable food agriculture land (LP2B). In addition, the results of this study can also produce a digital map of remote food agriculture (LP2B) based on remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS).
