Title: Strategy to Maintain Rice Food Security in Bali Province

Rice is the main staple food in Indonesia including Bali. The instability of food security will adversely affect health, economy and political stability. Based on this fact, the availability of rice should be able to meet the needs sustainability, in other words, food security must be stable. In an effort to realize food security, the influencing factors are land availability, water supply and application of technology packages. The availability of land continues to decline as a result of land conversion, the availability of water in the field is often inadequate, and sometimes  drought. The implementation of technology packages is difficult to adopt by farmers.. Integration of these factors results in a decrease in rice production. In the other hand the population that consumes rice from year to year continues to increase, which automatically demands that rice production must be increased. Related to this problem there needs to be a strategy to synergize the population, land area and rice production, so that food security can be realized sustainability
